Live broadcasting for business

Since 2015’s SXSW, live broadcasting apps Meerkat and Periscope have been discussed and debated on a number of major tech and trend websites. So what can they do for your business?

Some bloggers pronounced the death of Meerkat just days after SXSW but both live broadcasting apps seem to be sticking around...for now.

Live streaming or live broadcasting isn’t new. People have been streaming video for a number of years via webcams and their websites. What apps like Meerkat and Periscope do is link your streams to your social networks, making the streaming interactive. In Social Media Examiner’s interview with Brian Fanzo (@iSocialFanz), Brian recommends businesses think like fans and think about what fans want to see. Tell your story. Give a peek behind the curtain.

Live broadcasting gives businesses another tool for connecting with fans and customers. However, not all tools are right for your business. Read the post and listen to the interview for more recommendations and use cases as well as the pros and cons of Meerkat and Periscope.

Do you know someone who should see this?
