Track social posting with IFTTT

Have you ever attempted to track your social posting using an Excel or Google spreadsheet? It’s redundant and time consuming.

Enter IFTTT (If this then that). IFTTT allows you to create “recipes” to automate various activities from social media posting and responding to altering your NEST thermostat using IF or DO commands.

We found this especially useful to record Pinterest Pins we created “on the fly,” meaning at the time we happened upon an interesting and pinnable article. Our recipe automatically records each Pin the Savoir Faire account makes to a spreadsheet stored in Google Drive.

An alternative is to back up your Pinterest images to Dropbox. This recipe uses your Pinterest RSS Feed URL to download images to your Dropbox. You can also use IFTTT to catalogue Pins to a text file in Dropbox.

There are also IFTTT recipes to record or back up Instagram pictures to Drive or backup tweets to Drive or to Evernote.

Here are 20 IFTTT recipes gathered by 1stwebdeisgner.com to automate online activities.
