Clickworthy, Not Clickbait

You clicked  on this post. But don’t worry. We won’t make you click through 33 pages of images to tell you the story of clickbait.

Like most content titles marketers craft, clickbait is designed to make you click. The difference is that clickbait doesn’t always deliver content related to the headline. Clickbait leverages our brains’ natural desire to learn more, especially when critical information is left out of a clickbait headline.

As annoying as clickbait is, it works. It gets clicks, even when we recognize a link as clickbait.
