The Featured Snippet Selection Process

Have you always wondered why Google chooses certain websites for its featured snippets over others? There is actually quite a bit of rhyme and reason to it.

As you likely know by now, there are many factors that go into determining where your website results show up in a Google (or other search engine) search.

Featured snippets are just one type of a search result that can be displayed for your business. These search results most often displayed when they specifically answer a specific question.

When it comes to featured snippets, shorter content is better. In fact, “the most common length of content in a featured snippet is between 40 and 50 words.”
