Winning with Comprehensive Content

Content marketing is about so much more than pushing out words, images and videos.

Quantity matters, yes. And so does consistency. But depth and quality have always been important to searchers. It’s not just about the length of your content, but whether or not your content provides answers to questions that searchers are asking. Publishing 10 pages of content that doesn’t actually answer any relevant questions for a reader is not only a waste of your time, but it isn’t going to increase your search ranking, either.

Rand Fishkin says that engagement and satisfaction, diversity and uniqueness of content, content quality and comprehensiveness are becoming increasingly important to how search engines rank your site. In short, by identifying potential questions that your searchers may have, and answering them in an in-depth manner, you can effectively rank higher than your competition.
